24 Hour-day Theory
Each day of creation is 24 hours.

Qn: In that case, if you calculate the age of the earth versus what the scientists say the age of the earth is, it doesn't tally.
Ans: Some say that since God created man in adult form, it means that He created the earth in "adult" form too. That is to say that the earth has already "aged" in the created form.

Age-Day Theory
Each day is one geological era. Hence, different geological forms are formed in each era-day.

Pictorial-Day Theory
Moses was recording what he received from God in picture form. Hence, the day 1,2,3,4... are actually the number of days Moses took to record down the vision. So, day 1 in the bible is the first day Moses recorded down. Then Moses slept and then the second day, he start recording again.

Poetic-Day Theory
The 6 days of creation are just like poetry. And hence, we are not to read the 6 days like a scientific journal which will go into details.

Gap Theory
There is a gap between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2. In Gen 1:1, everything else is already made. And in verse 2, God was re-creating everything else. Hence, a lot of things happen in between the two verses that are not explained.
